It is natural for people to think of their minds and bodies as two different systems, apart and separate from each other; however, this is not the case. When we are fearful or apprehensive, we exhibit physical signs from sweating to shaking. This is also true when we are depressed, lonely or sad. Our bodies respond to our emotional feelings. We may have an upset stomach because of some disturbing situation at work, in school or in our relationships.
