We all have stress in our lives, but for married couples it’s a triple threat. Both partners have their own individual stress and they both have the stress that comes from being a married couple. Unchecked, this stress can destroy a marriage. The following are three suggestions to help reduce the stress in marriage: 1) Learn to accept your partner, flaws and all. None of us are perfect. 2) Have a monthly goal meeting. When marriage partners work on their own individual goals, they can drift apart. Actively working on a common goal keeps couples connected. 3) Learn to let it go. Couples irritate each other. If it’s not a deal-breaker, let it go.
