Research has been around since 1970 showing that children who are securely attached to their parents are happy to explore the world around them and have new adventures. New research shows the need to feel secure and attached in order to experience this zest and happiness for life extends far beyond childhood. Adults who are able to be close to and to depend on someone are happier and more willing to seek thrills, have adventures, and travel overseas. Couples try many different things to keep excitement in their relationship, but perhaps the focus needs to be on strengthening and nurturing loving and secure relationships. Then the excitement and passion will come naturally.
