There has recently been an explosion of early-stage business startups run by women. In San Francisco, a group of female tech CEOs met to discuss and explore the phenomenon and gain support from each other. More and more women are starting companies, but they have many challenges and trials ahead in a male-dominated industry. The CEOs shared stories of being turned down by male investors, challenges in playing the underdog role, and how they are making a difference with their great products. They shared advice on jobs, ethics, gender, feelings, and family. “It was eye-opening, inspiring and thought-provoking.” said Clara Shih of Hearsay Social.
